Gold Sheen Obsidian is a rare variety of Obsidian that displays a golden sheen due to oxygen bubbles trapped in the molten lava as it forms. have a high polish and glowing golden sheen that speaks to the quality of the stone and the artisans that mined and shaped it. Our spheres are hand chosen during our travels and come from a family owned and operated mine in Mexico that supports their local economy and work with shamans to bless their stones and feel out the energy of the mineral. In ancient South American cultures Obsidian was used as a scrying stone to gain insight and reveal one's purpose or path towards their goals.
