In biology, "imagines" s the plural form of "imago", the term for the last stage an insect attains during its metamorphosis. For the Io moth. whose likeness has been captured in sterling silver for this necklace, it is when it emerges from its cocoon with fully formed wings. A Tahitian Pearl and Quartz doublet creates an illusion with a muted iridescence. The entire pendant is suspended from a satin finish oxidized bar, designed to sit above or below the collarbones.
